City lines up $3M bond sale

The Ennis City Commission is preparing for the bond sale that will provide $3 million in new money for road construction around town.
The first reading of an ordinance that gives the go-ahead for the city to issue bonds in the coming weeks is slated Monday. The plan has undergone a series of changes since discussions began in fall 2011, and was whittled down to just under $4.2 million after a round of cuts.
