Coach jailed in case of baseball assault

WAXAHACHIE — A youth baseball coach was arrested after one of his players alleged that he threw baseballs at him as part of a training exercise.
The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ron Edgar Santos, 25, pending misdemeanor charges of assault after he turned himself in to authorities on Monday. He has since been released on a $3,000 bond.
