County notification system open for opt-in soon

Fire Marshal Joe Stewart said the county’s new information management system will help better keep both citizens and first responders in the know about emergencies.
The Ellis County Commissioners Court approved the termination of its contract with notification company Code RED on Nov. 13. Stewart said the county’s new iInfo system made Code RED’s services redundant.
