County setting up alerts

WAXAHACHIE — Ellis County’s Commissioners Court is readying to provide emergency communications services and notifications to the county with some available grant funding.

At their bi-monthly meeting Monday, commissioners approved an agreement for a mass alerting system, pending legal clearance, with the service being supplied by Everbridge. The move is to provide for emergency communications and notifications in the event of disruptive events.
