Defendant passes plea for trial

Court records show a 41-year-old Ennis man accused of child pornography possession has rejected a plea agreement in favor of trial.
The longstanding case against Jeffrey Gerron began in 2006, when federal customs officials were investigating a ring of commercial websites where people were allegedly buying child porn. The original filing against Gerron listed June 8, 2009 as the original offense date.
