District runs with pack on test weighting

Ennis ISD will join 1,119 other school districts across Texas in delaying the use of the the STAAR tests’ end of course exams in ninth-graders’ final grades.
A student’s performance on the end-of-course exams would normally count for 15 percent of their final grade. EISD Superintendent Barbara Qualls said most schools are opting out this year because there isn’t a uniform way to calculate the grade.
