District will tap reserves this year

Ennis ISD is expecting to end the 2012-2013 fiscal year on Aug. 31 with an annual budget in the red for the first time in recent memory.

Lisa Fincher, assistant superintendent for finance, said falling state revenues last year led the district to end the year with a one-year deficit, though a deficit they saw coming.
