Downtown proposals up for public hearing Monday

Ennis has officially scheduled a public hearing on the possibility of downtown redevelopment incentives at its regular 7 p.m. meeting Monday.

Members of the public can address the commission on the proposed plans for incentives, which include tax abatements previously reserved for industrial development and the forgivable loans of up to 30 percent of a structure’s appraised value, depending on individual property circumstances.
