DPS seeking hit and run suspect

The Texas Highway Patrol is seeking local assistance to find the suspects in a late Friday night hit-and-run.

DPS officials said the crash occurred at approximately 11:03 p.m. Friday night in the 500 block of Lee Street in Red Oak. The suspect’s vehicle was identified as a black Dodge regular cab pickup with extensive front end damage and partial breakage to the front chrome grill.

The vehicle allegedly struck a 1990 Acura, sending several of its occupants to nearby hospitals for treatment. One of those hospitalized was a pregnant woman.

The Highway Patrol is asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact either DPS Dallas at 214-861-2040 or the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office at 972-937-6060 regarding information for Trooper Kyle Stanley.
