ECSO investigating animal cruelty

Ellis County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson JoAnn Livingston said deputies are still investigating an potential animal cruelty case involving multiple dead dogs found in an Ellis County home.

Livingston said animal control officers went to a home in the 700 block of Gibson Road on Tuesday afternoon in response to an anonymous complaint.

She said the officers were unable to locate the owners, and left business cards telling the homeowners to contact the sheriff’s office.
