EFD probes suspicious fire

Ennis fire officials are investigating an early Monday morning fire that Fire Chief Jeff Aycock believes is “suspicious in nature.”

Aycock said the fire burned the front porch and the exterior of a one-story wood frame home around 12:17 a.m. Monday morning in the 1200 block of North Preston Street.
