EHS band wraps year


A group of Ennis High School band students earned First Division rankings on Memorial Day at the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest in Austin.

A group of Ennis High School band students earned First Division rankings on Memorial Day at the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest in Austin.

Solo First Division recipients include Tracy Vineyard on the flute and Mikayla Stillwell on French horn.

Ensemble First Division recipients include Marlen Cornejo, Alejandrina Majalca, Erica Lopez and Tracy Vineyard in flute quartet; Alexandra Betik, Stephanie Darst, Julie Gallegos, Cathryn Steele and Xavier Rowlett in clarinet choir; and Mikayla Stillwell, Jonathan Adams, Kristin Pool and Christian Durbin in French horn quartet. Pictured are the seniors of the EHS band holding UIL Marching and Sweepstakes trophies the band earned during their four-year stint with the program.
