Emergency plan gets top marks from state

Emergency plans by the city of Ennis were put to the test on the morning of May 16 when an EF-1 tornado ripped through downtown Ennis.

State emergency management officials recently gave Ennis’s plan the highest possible rating.
City Manager Steve Howerton reported Tuesday the Texas Division of Emergency Management review the city’s emergency management plans and rated the city’s plan at an “Advanced Level of Preparedness.”
