Ennis goes down swinging

Hannah Farris led off Ennis’ best inning Saturday night with a single and scored on a passed ball, but the Lady Lions weren’t quite able to get over the hump in a 5-3 area playoff loss to Hallsville in the deciding game of the series at North Forney High School. While the Lady Lions had their best offensive showing of the series with eight hits, Hallsville was able to get some big early hits for a 3-0 lead through two innings and then hold on. The Lady Lions finished their season with a record of 28-12 and were arguably the most successful team at Ennis High in 2010-11.
