Ennis honors its first Bluebonnet queen

Linda Lucas returned to Ennis over the weekend, and the 1956 Bluebonnet Queen earned recognition from the city of Ennis with an official proclamation in her honor.

Mayor Russell Thomas, addressing the festival crowd in the afternoon before the headline performance of John Denver classics by Steve Weisberg and Roy Rivers, designated April 12-13 as Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival Queen Days.
