Ennis rallying around family

Police Chief John Erisman hopes the Ennis community has it in their hearts to help a local police officer and his new family.

Walker Sherrard, the son of EPD Corporal Brad Sherrard and his wife Ashley, was born Jan. 4. Shortly after his birth, doctors discovered a congenital heart defect. Doctors performed open heart surgery on Walker, and he’s expected to have at least two more surgeries over the course of his life.
