Ennis ISD officials moved quickly to reassure parents and community members of the safety of its students in the wake of the mass school shooting in Newtown, Conn.
“In the wake of Friday’s tragedy in a Connecticut school, I want assure all parents that their children are welcome and safe in Ennis ISD schools,” said Superintendent Barbara Qualls in a prepared statement Monday. “Please know that EISD has a number of safety precautions, systems and monitoring programs in place to do the very best job of taking care of all our children.”
