The organizers behind the Ennis Public Library’s Summer Reading Program are gearing up for another successful season.

Library Director Jessica Diaz and Children’s Services Director Kayti Kennedy spoke to the Ennis Rotary Club on Tuesday about the upcoming 2014 program, as well as the successes of last summer’s efforts.

Diaz said 644 children in grades kindergarten through sixth registered for the program in 2013, with the children reading for 256,140 minutes throughout its six-week duration.
