There wasn’t much of a decision to make when festival organizers took the step of dedicating the 45th annual National Polka Festival to Larry Laznovsky.
Laznovsky, who died in suddenly in March, was so integral to building the foundation of the festival into the mammoth success story it represents for Ennis and the Texas Czech community that there was little doubt.
“As much as Larry has done for the festival and for all the Czechs in Ennis and throughout the state of Texas, there was no question we were going to dedicate the festival to Larry,” said festival president Danny Zapletal.
