Air Evac and ETMC, the city’s air and ground ambulance providers, have teamed up to celebrate the work of the community’s first responders next month in honor of 9/11.

The Sept. 14 celebration “Honoring Heroes” at the Air Evac hanger of the Ennis airport will include local police, professional and volunteer firefighters, emergency medical technicians and other first responders with a hot dog and hamburger lunch. The event will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 2 p.m.
