After an unexpected cancer diagnosis stunned 57-year-old Cynthia Castillo and her family last month, they are fighting back.

The Ennis woman and her family are reaching out for financial support to help them cope with the mounting costs of her treatment. Castillo was diagnosed last month with Stage 4 colon cancer that has metastasized to her liver. The 8-year employee of Walmart has no medical insurance coverage through work, and her treatment has curtailed her ability to stay on the job, so funds are tight.
