After game one of this area playoff series last Thursday, it looked like Hallsville might take down Lady Lion softball in lopsided fashion.

But on Friday and Saturday, Ennis (28-12) represented itself much better and battled the 14-4A champion Ladycats. In the end, Hallsville would jump out to a 3-0 lead through two innings in Saturday’s deciding game at North Forney High, and then hold on for a 5-3 victory to end the series. Hallsville finished with more hits (9-8) and each team committed three errors.
