Two Ferris police officers were treated for minor injuries after the arrest of a man wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on Friday.
Chief Sam Love said in a release Chris Garza, a 48-year-old county resident, resisted arrest after Ferris officer Sara Stastny pulled him over in a Shamrock gas station parking lot for allegedly failing to yield for an ambulance. Backup officer Lizzy Gentry arrived on the scene and the pair tried to arrest Garza.
