FFA students win $12K worth of scholarships

The Ennis FFA Ag. Mechanics team pulled in $12,000 in college scholarships over the weekend at the 14th annual Junior Agriculture Mechanics Show in San Antonio.

Brian Harlan, EHS ag mechanics instructor, reports the group placed first in their class and fourth in the competition of more than 100 trailer entries. With overall placing of fourth, each student received $3,000 toward their college education.

Winners are seniors Jose Perez, Ramsey Dodds and Raymond Rogers, as well as junior Kayla McCabe, and the group displayed a shop-built, 40-foot, five-bale gooseneck hay trailer.
