Ennis Fire Marshal Gary Howell said a fire that destroyed a vacant apartment and displaced several residents was likely intentionally set.
Ennis police and fire responded to a fire call shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday night in the 700 block of West Tyler Street. Upon arrival, fire and smoke billowed from a hole in the roof of the apartment building.
