Fleeing suspect crashes

A man reportedly fleeing a traffic stop in Rice was arrested Tuesday night after ramming a Ferris police vehicle.

Jose Raul Rivera, 26, was taken to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas after he crashed into the median of northbound I-45 in Ferris. The police officer driving the vehicle he allegedly rammed sustained only minor shoulder injuries, said Ferris Police Chief Sam Love.
