Fog set to return tonight

Staff report, edi...@ennisdailynews.com

Joe Harris, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, said this morning’s dense fog cover should clear by 4 p.m. this afternoon but likely return tonight.

Harris said the fog stretched as far west as Cleburne, east to Ennis and as far north as the Red River.

“I’ve got zero visibility in Cleburne and Waxahachie, quarter of a mile to zero across the metroplex,” Harris said.

He said a stationary line of cold air stretching from Mineral Wells to Palestine interacting with warm air rising above it is causing the dense fog. While the fog is expected to return to zero visibility tonight, he said it will likely disperse in the morning.

“The boundary should begin to move northward around daybreak,” Harris said.
