Food program use fades locally

Angel Food Ministries, which has long been a fixture in the community, will no longer offer an Ennis pick-up.

Dr. Bill Kinzie and members of the Gilmer Baldridge Church of Christ have volunteered for the Angel Food program for many years.

“We’ve had the Angel Food Ministry here now for probably six or seven years,” Kinzie said. “Originally Larry and Sherry Davis were the directors and this has been through the Church of Christ on Country Club Road and we’ve done our best to publicize it and make people aware of it, and in spite of that there’s been a gradual decline in utilization.
