Fuel station opens April 14
Texas Motorplex will have the VP Racing Fuel station open for racers between Noon – 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 in preparation of the NHRA Lucas Oil Divisional event.
VP Racing Fuels has also proved the Motorplex with additional items to use as bonuses to event winners during this weekend’s Texas Motorplex Bracket Racing series event. Random winners will receive free fuel, VP souvenirs and more during Sunday’s bracket event.
The fuel station will be open Sunday, April 10 as well as during the entire Lucas Oil Divisional event, April 15-17.

The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event allows drivers to earn points leading to divisional and national championships as well as a chance at a share of the year-end purse of more than $560,000. Categories include Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, Comp Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock Eliminator, Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street, Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, and Sportsman Motorcycle.
GENERAL ADMISSION/PIT PASS — Friday: Adult, $15; Junior (6-15 years), $5. Saturday: Adult, $20; Junior (6-15 years), $10. Sunday: Adult, $20; Junior (6-15 years) $10. Children (5 years-under), free with paying adult in general admission and pit access areas each day. Spectator parking is $5.
Soulman’s BBQ in Mesquite (1125 Gross Rd., Mesquite, Texas) will be distributing FREE tickets on Wednesday, April 13 as Defending Top Alcohol Dragster Champion, Chase Copeland is onsite with his Top Alcohol Dragster.

Texas Motorplex was the first all-concrete stadium-style drag racing facility ever constructed. Built in 1986, Texas Motorplex has been the place of many drag racing milestones and world record performances. The Billy Meyer-owned facility hosts a number of racing and car show events between March and November each year and also features the Champion’s Club – an 11,000 square-foot facility – that serves fully catered events throughout the year.
