GAKAC needs a big push

The organizers behind the annual back-to-school program Give a Kid a Chance are reaching out for a last wave of donations to help this year’s program happen as the event looms.

Organizer Marty Nelson appealed to supporters via email last week, outlining what’s still needed.  He said the event, scheduled for Aug. 4 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, is $5,000 to $8,000 short of being fully funded.
