If anything can be said about the first round playoff defeat last season, the Ennis Lions are motivated more than ever and have set their sights on an undefeated season to win the state championship.

“It’s all behind us. That was really motivation to us this spring because we lost in the playoffs. We don’t want that to happen again, so that really pushed us to work even harder than we did last year,” senior halfback Nick Gabriel said. “My plan is to go 16 weeks and win the state championship.”
