GEDA pushing commission

Nick Todaro, n...@ennisdailynews.com

The Ennis City Commission and Greater Ennis Development Alliance will share ideas at tonight’s regularly scheduled commission meeting.

Members of GEDA will present their case to the commission tonight in the group’s 6 p.m. workshop, lobbying for the hiring of a full-time downtown development coordinator. Meg Sullivan, chief of the Ennis Historical Society and executive board member of GEDA, said the job is aimed at facilitating business, cultural and social investment in the downtown historic district and would participate in the city’s application for the Main Street Program.
