A casual observer driving through Ennis may notice the many American flags flying outside homes, businesses and institutions and believe the town is just more patriotic than most.
That impression is no accident. Many of the flags fly thanks to the efforts of the Ennis Rotary Club. And those interested in obtaining a flag to fly outside their home or business need look no further than the chair of the Rotary flag program, Jimmy Boon.
Boon, a long-time Ennis resident, took the reins of the flag program three years ago.
