Brookshire Grocery Co.’s plans for building a new supermarket on W. Ennis Ave. made it through the city’s planning and zoning commission this week.
The final, formal approval of the project gives the Brookshire’s the go ahead on a $4 million project for a 37,400 square foot facility, with an additional fuel station. That plot of land on which the new grocery store will be built is next to Kwik Kar and across Ennis Avenue from Don Jose’s restaurant.
