Hackney announces run for seat

Ennis resident Ken Hackney has announced intent to run for the mayor pro-tem position this spring.
The post, which will be polled in an open field on May 11 without incumbent Bob Taylor, is a citywide elected position.
Hackney, a 35-year resident of town, said he has a history of business management skills, community pride, family values and a strategic outlook.
