Spring is upon us, and with the warm weather comes the urge to spend more time outdoors.
Paying a visit to Highview Marina on Lake Bardwell is a nearby option for the fisherman in everyone.
Highview owners Vic and Sandy Pochobradsky are looking forward to the height of crappie season when the weather finally finds a steady pace.
“There’ve been some good days already but we’re waiting for the weather to stay warm,” Vic said. “When it’s cool like this you have a lot of dock fishing but everything kind of changes from season to season.”
The retired couple has more to offer patrons than bait and fishing licenses though. Sandy, with some help from her daughter, created hand-tied jigs, which are available in the marina store along with a wide variety of tackle for any angler’s needs.
