‘Honor Flight’ awards scholarships to students

Phil Banker[email protected]

Honor Flight of Ellis County awarded three Ennis High School seniors with $1,000 for their work honoring local veterans of World War II.

The students and their families were honored at a breakfast Thursday morning at the Truck Stop Cafe.

Seniors Ian Graham, Caitlin Burns and Bevana Cordova were chosen out of 10 applicants, all of whom Carol Spellman said had to both be related to a veteran and interview a veteran of World War II.
