Hotshots respond to adversity

Thanks to a combo of hitting the ball hard and speeding around the bases, Kiara Glenn came up huge for DRP with two in-the-park homers.

Coming off their first loss of the season, the DRP Auto Body Hotshots had to win on Monday night to get another shot at the team that took them down.

The Hotshots (11-1) were certainly up to the task, as they rolled in a 14-1 victory over the CNB Tigers. The win leaves only DRP and Mow Pros — the team that beat the Hotshots 7-0 on Friday — to battle for the freshman division crown in tonight’s championship.

“That was a big shocker because we didn’t (even) score any runs,” said coach Arthur Carrillo, regarding the loss to Mow Pros last week. “The girls didn’t know what happened and it was hard to believe.”

Carrillo was very relieved to see his team respond positively in its Monday game.
