I-45 crash stirs chemical fears

Authorities said a crash involving a work convoy truck and an 18-wheeler sent one driver to the hospital in critical condition Thursday afternoon, closing I-45 for several hours in Navarro County on chemical concerns.

Trooper Curtis Putz of the Texas Highway Patrol said both trucks were in the outside lane of northbound Interstate 45 in Rice near the Chatfield Road exit.
