Interim manager tapped for transition

Ennis contracted for an interim city manager with First Texas Group on Monday night, an interim management and replacement services firm.

The $100-hour contract for the services of John Hatchel, a former municipal manager, includes some additional traveling and housing expenses as well as “reasonable direct expenses incurred” as he executes his duties overseeing day-to-day operations after City Manager Steve Howerton leaves office.
