It’s a new Avenue

Traffic on the 100 and 200 blocks of W. Ennis Avenue flows completely differently after re-striping Tuesday by the Texas Department of Transportation.

The move, years in the making, left numerous motorists a bit confused. Others adjusted quickly, adhering to the new traffic markings on the road without trouble. But Ennis Police Department Chief John Erisman, who stood at the corner of Dallas Street and W. Ennis Avenue observing traffic a bit after lunchtime Tuesday, saw reasons for concern.
