Lions’ budget grows

The Ennis Lions Club stepped up its annual charity budget for the upcoming year, laying out $23,351 to spend on its various charitable activities. The budget is an increase from last year’s, in which the club budgeted $22,740 for charity. Lions Club Secretary and Treasurer Bob Taylor said the club’s four main fundraisers: the golf and bowling tournaments, magic show and bluegrass festival, helped grow the club’s budget.
