The Ennis Lions (10-0, 7-0) accomplished a goal Friday night that only a few teams have achieved in Ennis history. They went undefeated for the entire regular season after demolishing the Waxahachie Indians (3-7, 1-6) 61-28 in the Battle of 287 for the final game of the regular season.

“We’ve been working hard all season. We were trying to make this a perfect season,” Lion senior Shawn Johnson said. “Waxahachie is always a rival so we always have to come out and play hard.”
