Lions recognize contest winner


Ennis Daily News photo by Nick Todaro / The Ennis Lions Club presented a certificate and award to Dorie Miller Intermediate School student Savannah Kay Armstrong, a sixth-grader, the winner in the club’s annual Peace Poster Contest. With the local-level win, her artwork was slated to advance to the next level of competition. Cathy Cikanek, assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction for the Ennis Independent School District and Lions Club member, presented the award.
