Lions soccer loses in playoffs to Kilgore

The Ennis Lions (18-5-3, 7-2-1, 28-4A) had nothing short of a successful season this year.

“We got our first district title ever,” Lion coach Brent Stapleton said.

In addition to bringing the program’s first district championship to Ennis in its 24-year history, the Lions also advanced to the regional quarterfinal playoff round.
