Lions suffer hard defeat at hands of Jaguars

Tuesday’s game between the Ennis Lions (5-23, 1-11) and Mansfield Summit Jaguars (17-8-7, 8-3) was expected to be a challenge for the Lions after Ennis faced a 23-point defeat in January. The Jaguars defended their home court Tuesday with a 55-31 victory.
The top Lion scorer was Scott Muirhead with 13 points. Although Muirhead has scored more points during a single game earlier in the season, Tuesday exceeds his highest district game scoring by one point. Muirhead currently leads the team in season points with 274 points scored.
