Local jailed for tax prep fraud

A 41-year-old Ennis man was arrested Monday after Ennis police investigators learned he was allegedly filing falsified tax documents.

Lt. Mike Hopson, head of the Ennis Police Department’s criminal investigation division, said a woman who had her taxes prepared in Corsicana was referred to a business in Ennis when she was unsatisfied with her tax return.
