Students who buy their lunch at Ennis schools better pack an extra dime next year.
The Ennis ISD School Board voted to increase the price of school lunches at every campus by 10 cents for the coming school year, to remain in compliance with the National School Lunch Program.
Superintendent Barbara Qualls said the hike is part of an “move gradually toward a point of balance or stasis between the actual price of the meal and what’s paid.”
