Manhunt ends in Ferris

A man wanted for violation of parole remains in jail after a pursuit started Monday night in Ennis ended Tuesday morning in Ferris.

Lt. Mike Hopson, Ennis Police Department spokesman and head of the Criminal Investigation Division, said officers responded to a suspected misdemeanor theft call at Walmart on Monday night. The suspect fled on State Highway 34, later turning north on Farm Road 660 before crashing and fleeing on foot.
