Mansfield player hurt Thursday on the mend

Thursday night’s freshman football game between the Ennis Lions and the Mansfield Lake Ridge Eagles ground to a halt after a player was rushed to the hospital.
EISD Athletic Director Bill Cox said one of the Mansfield players was airlifted to Baylor Hospital in Dallas after a tackle left him on the ground, unable to move his legs.
Cox said the boy regained some feeling in his legs as of 10:30 p.m. Thursday night.
